So as this blog is published some people are sat down with their families, about to tuck into a Christmas dinner, having spent the morning with their loved ones opening some amazing presents.
However, for some people Christmas is a tough time. It’s lonely and for some a reminder of the people that are no longer with them. For those people who really do feel alone this Christmas there are a couple of small things that you can do:
Firstly and most importantly, you can call the Samaritans on 116 123 free of charge. They are there to listen 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You don’t have to be alone – I know it’s hard and so do they. It isn’t soft or weak to ask for help – it’s human.
Secondly – some lovely people have been using the hashtag #joinin on Twitter for people that need some company this Christmas. Twitter can be a weird place to hangout, but at this this in some way, could connect people in need together. Why not give it a go??
Anyway, hope you do have a lovely Christmas if you can and if not, just watch the telly and wait it out – tomorrow is Saturday and another day entirely. Clean slate.
Huge massive hugs to all.
