So it’s a bittersweet thing to announce, but yes it’s true, I am leaving The Prince’s Trust. I have worked there since 2013, but after a rather tricky 6 months or so, I have decided to take move on.
There has been lots going on at PT, none of which I want to discuss, even if I could, but I have to admit, I’ve not had a great time. On top of that, the commute to and from work has become a bit much for me, as my local offices are in either Liverpool orSalford, but my patch also includes offices in Burnley, Leeds and Newcastle!
I have commuted long distance for over 10 years and I have got a bit sick of the M62 and always been stuck in traffic on one road or another. 🚘🚘🚘
So the good thing is….. is that I DO have another job! I am going to be working for my local NHS Trust and I am thrilled! I will be so sad in one way to leave PT, I have spent 6 happy years there, met some fab people and got to do some amazing things. Who knew that working for a youth charity would mean I got to basically meet Prince Charles, be a guest at Buckingham Palace twice and the utter highlight was to work backstage at The London Palladium at a event attended by HRH and hosted by Ant & Dec!
I’ve also been all around the country meeting some amazing staff and some even more amazing young people. So much more than I ever expected – it’s been really quite something.
So this announcement is bittersweet, but I will always have such very fond memories.
